The purpose of the Estrella Leadership Development Program (ELDP) program is to engage full-time EMCC employees in an interactive leadership skills development program which will introduce leadership strategies to maximize professional effectiveness and positively impact learning.
THE MISSION: ELDP integrates EMCC’s core values, professional development, leadership theories and best practices to engage participants in the cultivation and implementation of leadership, skill building, professional effectiveness and personal growth within a Learning College philosophy.
The goal of ELDP is to provide participants the tools that will hone leadership skills through workshop sessions that are practical and applicable in a learning college environment. Workshop sessions include but are not limited to: teambuilding, strategic planning, change management, process organization and accountability.
The employee must have at least one year experience working on EMCC campus and must be full-time or ¾ time benefits eligible. (OSO and OYO are eligible).
ELDP is a 10-week program and will begin mid-February 2017 and end by the end of April 2017. Sessions will be will be 3 hours in length and will be conducted from 1 to 4 pm on Thursdays. Sessions dates are:

Active engagement allows individuals to learn from the experience of others as well as acquire new skills and techniques which will benefit leaders at all levels. The overall experience will provide you with personal and professional growth which in turn will enhance the overall learning experience.
